What we do
At Statkraft, we develop and operate renewable energy assets within hydropower, wind, solar, gas and biomass, supply district heating and buy and sell energy. We do all this in ways that keep the air clean so that our children stay healthy, our winters stay cold, and our planet’s future stays bright.

Our strategy
A carbon free future requires three things: a diversity of renewable energy, smart strategies to manage them effectively, and profitability. Making this possible – at scale, inclusively, and by continuing to innovate - is what Statkraft does best.
Our strategy is therefore to find the best opportunities in renewable energy within each country, across technologies. Renewable energy can’t be part of the solution. It must be the solution.

125 years of renewable energy
We have been making clean energy possible for over a century, long before climate change was a crisis. It’s a foundation that began with hydropower in Norway, and expanding globally to harness a diverse and flexible supply of water, wind, sun, and biowaste.
